MUSICIAN'S CAREER ACCELERATOR
You've done the thinking. You know roughly where you're headed with your music career, you just haven't turned that into something you're acting on yet.
That's exactly what this program is for.
Musician's Career Accelerator is a short, focused bridge between knowing your direction and having a working plan behind it, built for artists who don't need to start from scratch, they need help implementing what they already know.
Is This for You?
This program is built for musicians and songwriters who already have a sense of their own direction. If you've read Chasing the Big Break, or you've simply reached the point where you know what you want, but the plan itself keeps stalling, this is your next step.
It's not an introductory workshop, and it's not for complete beginners. It's for artists ready to turn clarity into a real, workable strategy.
From direction to a real, implemented plan.
The Career Tracker, Yours Exclusively Through ASC
At the heart of this program is a tool you won't find anywhere else. The Career Tracker is something I built myself, drawing on more than thirty years in this industry and years of coaching performing artists one-on-one. It's exclusive to the Australian Songwriters Conference, and you won't get access to it anywhere but here.
It's not a generic template. It's a proper working system, six tabs covering your goals and milestones, your weekly action plan, your content planning, your monetisation strategy, your network, and monthly reflection, built specifically for the way a music career actually moves.
In Workshop 1, I'll walk you through it properly, tab by tab, so you're not just handed a spreadsheet and left to work it out. You'll start drafting your own plan inside it that very night, and it's yours to keep using for as long as your career needs it.
How It Works
The program runs across two live online group workshops, with an online one-on-one coaching session in between.
Workshop 1, Orientation, S.W.O.T. Analysis and Career Tracker Walkthrough

We'll kick off with a live S.W.O.T. analysis session, an honest look at your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, then a full walkthrough of the Career Tracker, so you understand it and start drafting your plan inside it from day one.
One-on-One Coaching Session, One Hour
Scheduled individually, 20 October – 1 November 2026

How to Apply
Places are limited, and this program is built for artists at a specific stage. That means not every application will be accepted, some applicants might be a better fit for other programs and activities ASC has, and I'll always be honest with you about that.
Before you apply, please make sure you can attend both workshop dates. Acceptance isn't offered to anyone who can't make both sessions.
The application takes about 15 minutes. I review every one personally and get back to you within two business days.
Meet Your Instructor
Lisa Butler is the founder and coordinator of the Australian Songwriters Conference, and has guided its growth since 2008. A songwriter herself since the age of sixteen, Lisa spent several years working alongside an international cabaret star, gaining a first-hand look at how the music industry really works, not just the glossy version. That grounded, practical outlook has shaped everything she's brought to ASC ever since.
With more than 30 years across music and entertainment, Lisa is also a Certified Professional Coach specialising in Life and Career, holding a Diploma of Counselling and Mental Health First Aid accreditation. She brings a combination of coaching and counselling training alongside decades of industry experience, and believes a sustainable career in the arts is about looking after the person behind the artistry, not just the strategy.
Lisa is also a published author and poet, with work featured in cards and anthologies for international publisher Blue Mountain Arts, and her first book, The Constitution of the United States of Being, released in 2013. She's appeared on radio, podcasts, and vlogs over the years, talking about the music industry, mental health, and what it takes to build a lasting career.
Her latest book, Chasing the Big Break, draws on three decades in the industry and hundreds of conversations with working songwriters, musicians and other performing artists, offering a clear, honest strategy for the career they're chasing.
