“Country Rock with a Twist of Lime” is the way to describe Tim Charron’s music and life.
Tim splits his year between Nashville, Miami Beach, and touring. He has shared the main stage with Dustin Lynch, Big & Rich, Bret Michaels (Poison), Willie Nelson, the Charlie Daniels Band, Jamey Johnson, Tyler Farr, 1000 Horses, Justin Moore, Clint Black, Sara Evans, Rodney Atkins, Chris Young, Kellie Pickler, Lauren Alaina, Grand Funk Railroad, Hunter Hayes, Eli Young Band, Scotty McCreery, Randy Travis, and more!
He’s going to be in Sydney for just three days, and we’ll be hosting a special evening where he will be sharing details of his life as a recording and touring artist, his approach to songwriting, and then you’ll have the chance to pitch a song for his next album! This is a legitimate pitch opportunity – one of his albums included three songs co-written by songwriters who were able to pitch to him through an event such as this one!
Tickets are just $10 for ASC members and $15 for non-members, and include a digital copy of three of Tim’s albums, to help you research his sound! (These digital albums alone are together worth more than the ticket price!)
Ticket sales for guaranteed spots to pitch on the night have closed, but Tim has very generously offered that we can open the night up to door sales as well. It means that you aren’t guaranteed to have your song played on the night, but Tim will listen to one submission per attendee after the event. You will also be sent a link to digital downloads of his three albums the next day.
Mark your diaries for 7.30pm, Friday 1st March, 2019 – at The Cricketers Arms, Balmain. We will be starting sharply at 7.30pm, so arrive anytime from 7pm to settle in.
Also, we will have a speaker available to play mp3s – just bring your song on a device that has a headphone jack. It’s also fine to play your song live on the night (acoustic guitar + vocal) if you don’t have a recording available. Plus, bring 10-15 lyric sheets.
Songs will be played in order of registration for those who booked tickets. Door sales are not guaranteed a pitch on the night as it depends on remaining time available however as stated above Tim will accept a submission from attendees after the event.
